The worst, though, are the latex ones with powder. Once your hands start sweating, it's kind of like trying to work after kneading dough. Bluergh.

Since quitting my PhD and moving to a non-lab field I can definitely say that I don't miss spending all day with my hands in gloves. We used to collectively get through tonnes of moisturiser in the lab.Gingerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08330196582825230156noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7567795338173895185.post-69134461987368518152008-09-10T05:58:00.000-07:002008-09-10T05:58:00.000-07:00pelf said...Latex gloves make my skin horribly dry...pelf said...
Latex gloves make my skin horribly dry.....

I have notice this too! It's like the rubber just sucks the moisture out of them, and then I try to scrub the smell off them and they get even drier. The gloves "dry up" my lips and cause them to crack.

I still prefer the rubber-non-powdery ones, but those are more expensive. Thank goodness I don't have to wear gloves most of the time :DAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7567795338173895185.post-55311501906643887922008-09-09T20:15:00.000-07:002008-09-09T20:15:00.000-07:00That's why I'm SO glad my lab uses the blue nitril...That's why I'm SO glad my lab uses the blue nitrile gloves.
