Paul Dirac quote

A really great quote from my google quote of the day widget:

"In science one tries to tell people, in such a way as to be understood by everyone, something that no one ever knew before. But in poetry, it's the exact opposite."
Paul Dirac
English physicist in US (1902 - 1984)

Thank you for posting this poem, and thank you to Lopate for writing it--otherwise I wouldn't have located your wonderful blog. I hope your scientific work goes well and continues to be rewarding for you. And I agree fully with your more recent blog on "twitterature" concerns. No wonder there's an increase of Attention Deficit Disorder being diagnosed in this society...

(sorry for signing "anonymous"--I'm unused to all the google groups and am a bit of a technophobe)
